What can I expect from working with EHF?

 

  • After your initial inquiry, we’ll get back to you to let you know if we are available for your event date! If the date is available, we’ll meet via Google Meets for a consultation! During our consultation we’ll discuss:

    • the overall theme and vibe of your wedding

    • color palette, preferred flower types, and style preferences

    • a timeline of the wedding day

    • wish list of floral pieces

  • After our consultation, you will receive an itemized pricing proposal outlining the floral pieces we discussed, as well as a floral event contract. Clients have 7 days to review the proposal and contract and request one round of revisions.

  • If you choose to book EHF for your event, a $500 deposit is required to secure your date. Your deposit is credited towards your final invoice. We also require clients to sign a floral event contract. Your date is only reserved once the deposit is submitted and the floral event contract is signed!

  • After booking, we will send you a detailed Pinterest board including the flower types we plan of using for your event as well as additional inspiration photos. We will also send a visual floral proposal that outlines the preferred color palette and includes an event description.

  • 1-2 week prior to final payment, we’ll meet for a finalization meeting. We'll chat about your flower order, day-of timeline, and any final edit requests you may have. We want your wedding floral process to be as stress free as possible and this meeting is a great chance for us to make sure we're on the same page prior to wedding day!

  • Final Payment is due 1 month prior to your event. Changes to your pricing proposal must be requested at least 2 weeks before final payment is submitted.

  • What you can expect on the day of your event:

    • delivery and installation of events florals to venue

    • placing of table centerpieces/ tablespaces

    • on-site designing of floral installations

    • clean-up of florals at the end of the night

    Set-up/ Installation services are 15% of your floral invoice before tax. Teardown services are 5%.

    Services such as floral repurposing and personal flower delivery off-site of the venue are available at additional cost.

Welcome to our pricing guide! Here at Emma Harris Floral, we understand that planning a wedding can be a daunting experience. Most of our clients have never worked with an event florist and it can be hard to navigate the ALL of the wedding advice on the internet. This pricing guide is to aid you in matching your wish list with your financial wedding goals.

How are flowers priced?

The biggest factor in floral pricing is labor and materials. The process of creating wedding flowers is labor intensive and requires many hours of work from skilled designers. Most of our weddings require a minimum of 40-50+ hours of labor, with more labor being required for larger weddings. It is also important to us to pay our designers a fair wage, which we take into account when pricing our weddings.

Materials are the most important factor when it comes to the price of florals! We specialize in luxury flower types, which means our products are more of an investment than your grocery store florist. We also prioritize high quality products and work closely with our wholesalers to source the freshest flowers possible from international, domestic, and local growers.

Whereas another florist might fill an arrangement with carnations ($0.80/stem), we favor flowers such as garden roses ($4.00/stem), ranunculus ($3.60/stem), and sweet pea ($1.60/stem). We gravitate towards these flowers because of their soft, romantic qualities. We invest in high quality, luxury flower types to achieve the garden style look and create the most breathtaking flower combinations for our clients. Why not use cheaper flowers, you may ask? It ultimately comes down to style and personal preference. When you work with Emma Harris Floral, you not only are investing in flowers for your wedding, but an artistic product and luxury experience, created with high end materials by our experienced designers.

Why should I invest in a florist instead of doing the flowers myself?

Let’s use the example of making dinner!

  • You make dinner yourself. You go to the grocery store, select your ingredients, take the time to chop, measure out, and cook the meal, sit down to eat, and do the dishes.

  • OR. You hire a private chef to do it all for you. They have many years of skill and training. They go shopping for the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. They know how to expertly prepare the meal and season everything to perfection. They serve you and do the dishes.

The difference in choosing an event florist versus doing it yourself is 1.) no labor or stress on your part and 2.) a higher quality product than you could produce yourself. You are hiring a trusted professional to take the stress off of your plate. Trust us, you don’t want to be worrying about the flowers you bought at Trader Joe’s on the week of your wedding. Your wedding is a time for your to relax and have fun with friends, family, and your lover. Let us do our thing so you can go enjoy yourself!

Keep in mind that floral services are not ‘one size fits all’. We create a custom proposal for every prospective client; every couple has a unique vision and wish list to take into account!

FAQs

Are we allowed to DIY additional fresh or artificial flowers?

Unfortunately, no. When our clients entrust us with their event florals, they are investing in a full service experience of event design, floral preparation, set-up, and teardown services. We feel that when couples DIY additional flowers, it takes away from this experience. We have built a distinct brand identity with years of intentional floral design and DIY florals harm the professional integrity and reputation of our business.

Can we use our own vases/ vessels?

Unfortunately, no. We have a well-stocked inventory of high quality vases, votives, and other floral vessels that fit a wide range of event aesthetics. By sourcing all your florals and candles through EHF, your event will have more refined and cohesive overall appearance. It is also less wasteful, since we reuse our glassware for all weddings.
